FRP Fan Impellers

Impellers from Ø790 to Ø20,000 mm for wet cooling towers and dry coolers, with 3 to 8 blades. Five blade profiles — from the fastest to the ultra-low noise — matched to your airflow, pressure and noise limits.

FRP fan blade, profile (1HS), on an assembly stand

High speed

Profile (1HS)

Designed for stable impeller operation in the unfavorable flow conditions of concrete and steel casings. Built for high rotational speeds and highly resistant to dynamic loads.

Diameters
up to 8000 mm (26 ft)
Blades
3 – 8
Max. tip speed
80 m/s
FRP fan blade, profile (5), with a slightly twisted shape

High pressure

Profile (5)

A slightly twisted blade for higher flow parameters — in particular a higher pressure rise than profile (1HS). The widest diameter range of all profiles.

Diameters
1250 – 20000 mm (4 – 66 ft)
Blades
3 – 8
Max. tip speed
75 m/s
FRP fan blade, profile (7), close-up

Efficient & silent

Profile (7)

A properly profiled, highly efficient and silent blade that achieves high flow parameters while keeping the noise level low.

Diameters
1250 – 11000 mm (4 – 36 ft)
Blades
3 – 8
Max. tip speed
62.5 m/s
Wide FRP fan blade, profile (14), on an assembly stand

Low noise

Profile (14)

Highly efficient, silent blade with a specially profiled shape. Delivers high flow and efficiency at reduced rotational speed — the choice for installations with low noise limits.

Diameters
1089 – 10500 mm (4 – 34 ft)
Blades
3 – 6
Max. tip speed
54 m/s
Wide twisted FRP fan blade, profile (15), on an assembly stand

Ultra-low noise

Profile (15)

Wide, specially profiled and twisted blade for very low noise limits — up to 3 dB(A) quieter than profile (14).

Diameters
790 – 2743 mm (3 – 9 ft)
Blades
3 – 4
Max. tip speed
54 m/s

Self-extinguishing execution.

AS/SGATEX

Antistatic and self-extinguishing execution for operation in ATEX explosion hazard zones.

Fan System Components

A fan works only as well as its casing. We supply the FRP parts around the impeller, matched to the impeller model and to the cooling tower.

FRP fan stack for a cooling tower

Fan Stacks

The fan stack does more than protect the crew from the rotating impeller: it determines power consumption and pressure recovery, and has a significant effect on the efficiency of the whole installation.

Four stack profiles — DW, DK, DC and DD — fit the roofs of different cooling towers. The smooth inner surface keeps the blade-tip gap constant for vibration-free operation and lower energy use.

FRP fan ring and inlet bell segments

Fan Rings & Inlet Bells

For wet cooling towers and dry coolers. Wet towers expose the casing to an aggressive cooling medium, dry coolers to much hotter air — fan rings and inlet bells are designed for both, while giving the impeller ideal inflow conditions.

Complete Fan Units

Impeller, fan stack and drive supplied as one matched unit. Selecting the stack together with the impeller avoids a complete fan that does not work optimally — a common result when the two come from unrelated suppliers.

Fan Stack Accessories

Hatches (standard pull-out or premium with hinged doors) give access for maintenance without dismantling the stack segment.

Replacement & Retrofit

We analyze existing FRP fan configurations and operating conditions to develop technically suitable replacement, retrofit and improvement proposals.

A new impeller is selected for the real duty point of your tower. When the fan stack is replaced as well, its profile is adapted to the existing cooling tower roof — with only a short measurement on site.

What to Send Us for a Retrofit

  • Current impeller: diameter, number of blades, blade angle
  • Motor power, fan speed and gearbox ratio
  • Fan stack or casing type and its main dimensions
  • Photos of the impeller, hub and nameplates
  • What should improve: airflow, noise, power or vibration

Why AgniVent FRP Fans?

Smooth blade surface

Carefully finished blades reach the highest flow parameters, collect fewer deposits and are easier to keep clean. The protective surface prevents erosion and extends service life.

100% made in the EU

Manufactured entirely in the European Union from certified materials, to the strictest standards.

FRP technology

FRP allows any blade surface shape. Compared with aluminum it is unrivaled for wet cooling towers — long service life, and minor damage can be repaired on site.

Safe delivery

Packed to a dedicated transport standard. Special crates for sea freight and IPPC packing on request.
